The problem is when we’re on autopilot for so long that we forget we’re on autopilot. Because when we’re not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them they control us.

In a video game we know that we have a limited number of things we can do at once. If there is a constant stream of things that we can do, we will get bored, or we will go on autopilot. Autopilot is the state when we can’t seem to do anything at all. It’s the state where we become just a cog in the machine.

A time loop is basically a very long game where I am the survivor of a game. In the actual game I am constantly dying. I am slowly dying each time I die. That is why when a game gives you a health check, I am always afraid of dying. When I do die I want to run and get as far away as possible from the game.
The idea of a time loop is to introduce a game mechanic into a game that a player should be able to predict. In the Deathloop game you play, there’s a time-looping system in place so you will always die at the end of each day, but every time you die you get an automatic health check. This ensures that if you die in real life you die in Deathloop. That is to say, if you die in real life you die on a Deathloop island.
The idea of a time loop is to introduce something that is predictable into a game, but it doesn’t have to be. If you are playing a game, then it’s unlikely you will die at the end of the day, so it’s a natural loop to introduce.
It is a loop and its not completely implausible, but if you were playing a game, then the idea of a time loop would be totally plausible, but the fact that you are playing a game would make this totally plausible as well.
We are going to be in the middle of a race in the game (which is, I think, a pretty good thing). We can do something to change it. We can change the race, or we can change the race again and again and again. But this would be a game, and we would have the chance to change it.
