After being an active member of the health care community for over 12 years, I have seen the health care profession grow from a fragmented group of specialists into a wide range of specialists.
This isn’t necessarily true in all cases, but there is a clear difference between a generalist and a specialist. A generalist is someone who isn’t a specialist in a broad range of health care, but is able to help many different medical problems. A specialist is someone who is highly specialized in one area and can find a wide range of solutions.
A generalist is someone who offers general health care, but may also be highly skilled in a wide range of specialties. A specialist is someone who can find answers to specific problems, and is highly skilled in a specialized area.
Well, you’d have to go back to the days of Dr. O’Reilly to find a generalist who could be a specialist in the field of ophthalmology.
You can get into a specialist training program, but then the generalist, having already found the answer, will always have the solution. Like doctors, specialists are very specialized.
The fact is that every time a doctor has been in a specialized area for a long time, he or she gets a particular diagnosis (and not a diagnosis of one). This is why it’s so important to have a specialist come in and say, “Hey, I know this guy is a specialist, but he got this for you.
The specialist doctor is really a one-man show. You can’t just go to a specialist doctor, he or she will ask questions that you haven’t even thought of the question. You need to get your specialist to say, “Hey, I know this guy is a specialist, but he found this for you.” You need to know the specialist’s diagnosis and what the specialist is looking for.
Doctors are great at finding and diagnosing things, but they are rarely great at curing them. Doctors are trained to see things like cancer and heart disease as a set of symptoms rather than as a disease. They may see the symptoms, but not the cause. It’s not like a heart attack is like a cold that just doesn’t go away or like there is some kind of chemical in our blood that causes it. Doctors are trained to look at things from a different perspective.
In medical terms, a doctor is a trained observer and analyzer of the human body. A doctor will tell you what the problems are, and see if there is a potential cure. A good doctor will look for a cause and look for a treatment. It is very difficult to find a doctor who is only training to diagnose symptoms rather than to cure them. Doctors are not great at this because they are trained to cure, not to observe.
I once had an appointment with my doctor for a heart attack. When he came in, he looked down at me and said, “do you have any allergies?”. I said, “no,” and he said, “good.”. This was a very frustrating experience, because I had been to the doctor before and never had it work. I had to go back a few times to get the same answer, and eventually he left me alone.
