Microsoft Corp. has decided not to release their dual-screened foldable Surface Laptop. Earlier they have planned to release the laptop on this holiday season but at last, they decided to work on Windows 10X operating system. The operating system will work on the present single screened device like PCs, notebook and tablets. According to chief product officer of Windows and Devices, Panos Panay the company has decided to launch the first expression of Windows 10X on single-screen devices. He announced this through a blog post on Monday and stated further that they were searching for the right moment to make available the dual-screen devices to the market. They have made a partnership with their OEM partners for this. The post confirmed the delaying in the release of a dual-screen laptop from the publications like ZDnet with code name Neo.
The company had unveiled the device in October but they did not yet make any information available on their dual-screen phone. The code name of the dual-screened phone was given Duo. All we know that the mobile will run on Google’s Android software, not on Windows. The chief product officer of Windows and devices said that the company will update additional updates to Windows developers about the build conference. The conference was held online due to the outbreak of COVID-19. The main reason for delaying the release is the fast-spreading of COVID-19. Panay also said that the world scenario has changed a lot since October. They always plan according to the needs of customers but at present, the company needs to focus on planning according to the present conditions of their customers. Microsoft Corp. has designed The Surface Neo laptop last year. The laptop has a feature of two 9-inch screens with a 360-degree hinge. The best attraction is the laptop can be opened like a book or like a laptop. There are some more exciting features that you can only dream about. The dual-screen laptop also has a flipable keyboard which can be removed as the keyboard is magnetically sealed to the back of the device with a pen. On the other hand, the main focus of Windows 10X is flexibility. Single-screen Windows 10X devices now can be empowered with the power of the cloud. This will help the user to learn, work or play with a new experience. By releasing Windows 10X for their single-screen pc, the company has fueled the speculation of new Windows 10 variant for double-screened PC. A study suggests that people are using more PCs instead of a smartphone in the lockdown period. May that’s the reason for hurry for Microsoft Inc. There will be more simplified ye modern Windows interface with more stripped-back in this Operating system. Also, there are some improvements are made like quick access to the setting, improved Start Menu and Multitasking option by changing some UI and UX. Many experts think the release of dual-screened Neo Laptop will be delayed beyond the ending of this year.
