This public health sanitarian is a very popular person of the medical community, but I’ve noticed that they come off as either a bit too much of a realist or not enough of a realist. In my opinion, we need more of both. Realistic people are those who are willing to take a hard look at the human condition and see if there is something that can be done to prevent a disease or illness.
I think that public health sanitarians are idealistic people who have a clear goal of preventing a disease or illness. We live in a world where diseases kill more people than they ever did before, and we have no idea why or how we got here. If a doctor says we don’t have any ideas on how to prevent diseases, they are basically lying.
This is very important because it is these sanitarians who are the ones who will be the ones who implement any preventive measures.
In a world where diseases are increasing all the time, why do we have to wait for doctors to tell us that we dont have any ideas? In fact, why don’t we make it our mission to make them our goal? These sanitarians, while idealistic, are also very practical. Most of these health initiatives are based around the idea of “If we all do it, maybe one day it will happen to someone else.” Well, that is a terrible idea.
In the future, we will be in a world where every single person will have one of these sanitarians (the doctor) to help them through their illnesses. And while it sounds great, I am not sure I would like it to be me who implements the preventive measures.
This all sounds great. And it’s the same problem that plagues public health as a whole. We’re always looking for the silver bullet. Which, when we’re looking for it, often means we’re looking for short-term solutions.
But that’s not what I want from my sanitarian. I want a long-term solution. And I can’t have that with something so short-term. I want the ability to prevent problems. I want the ability to prevent me from dying from a disease or from getting sick from a virus. I want the ability to prevent me from having any more allergies or asthma than I already have. I would like the ability to prevent me from dying from cancer. And so on.
There are no real short-term solutions though. The cure for all of these diseases is still in the future. We have to stay vigilant about keeping our bodies healthy, and the cure for cancer is still not too far off. To prevent an epidemic from occurring, we need to be ready for it. So while short-term solutions may be needed, we need to be more proactive in our approach.
The best way to prevent an epidemic is to be ready to fight it. We need to prepare for the next outbreak so we are ready to fight it. The best way to prepare for an epidemic is to work with the very people who are already fighting it. In the first decade of the twenty-first century, the federal government created the Public Health Service, which provides a national network of medical professionals who work to develop and disseminate new ways to prevent epidemics.
